The solution where we combined Eurocard's virtual cards with Mazepay's end-to-end process was perfect to both bring clarity to their subscription spend and easily manage individual subscriptions organisation-wide.
When employees use Mazepay to purchase a subscription, they first need to get that purchase approved by the right people. Our workflow tool is the perfect solution for this, as you can set rules in the dynamic request form that prompt the employee for more information, like renewal dates, terms & conditions, and much more.
And in the purchase request thread, procurement could ask employees for more information when needed, providing a clear and transparent audit trail for every single purchase.
When combined with the other information the form gathers, Akind’s procurement teams were easily able to see which teams bought which subscriptions, when they would renew, and prevent non-compliant subscription purchases before they occurred.
These insights come from secure Eurocard virtual cards issued to each employee for exact amounts, and these cards automatically expire once the subscription payment term runs its course.
Plus, the Mazepay solution’s subscription management feature allows admins to cancel unused subscriptions and even issue cards for other legal entities.
Many companies today struggle with similar challenges around subscription and long-tail spend as Akind has had. With our joint solution, we combine our customised virtual cards with Mazepay’s innovative platform to help companies create clarity and structure in this complex area.

Akind was able to outsource risk assessment to Mazepay by transferring all relevant IT subscriptions to the platform. And now, all employees using Mazepay can easily request renewals for their running subscriptions, saving time.
As well, after the successful pilot, Akind has expanded the solution to 11 companies in Sweden and 3 in Norway. They also plan to roll out the solution to companies in Germany and Finland in 2025, after many inquiries from employees in those countries about the solution.
And with our complete audit trail, Akind can always have the data they need, when they need it.
In our collaboration with Akind Group, we have been working iteratively on the account setup to align with their specific business rules and effectively roll out the Mazepay solution across multiple use cases. This approach ensures user adoption while guaranteeing that approval workflows comply with the various business requirements for a fully compliant purchasing process. Additionally, our flexible setup adapts to organisational changes and supports future rollouts for more companies within the group.
